Strawberry Protein Waffles

Give eggs and oatmeal the day off and make something different for breakfast tomorrow. This tasty, waffle recipe is easy to prepare and offers plenty of protein for your muscle building needs. So add it to your morning mix every now and then to give your taste buds something to get excited about.

Directions: 
Preheat waffle maker
Combine all dry ingredients into large bowl
Combine all wet ingredients in medium sized bowl
Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients, being careful to not over mix
Fold in strawberries
Pour batter onto waffle iron and cook until golden brown
Optional: Top waffles with coconut whipped cream and fresh strawberries, or drizzle with maple syrup
For coconut whipped cream: Open can of coconut milk and drain the separated liquid into a resalable container—for future smoothies—leaving the dense cream. Put cream in a medium sized bowl and whip with an electric blender.
